The subject of landscape in a contemporary context allows the exploration of embodied spaces of nostalgia, longing and memory and inquires into questions connected to the interpretation of form, fascination, delusion and myth.
In the oeuvre comprising work with collaged images, drawing, painting, animation, a tapestry and graphic art, the artist attempts to explore familiar and non-familiar places and the bodily response their representational image triggers in the observer.
This is enabled through dissecting the image to a degree finely tuned to reside in the mid-space between photography and representation, enabling the latter the same amount of, and if not more validity in depicting the real.
